Rocky Mountain WildHeart is Colorado’s trusted licensed wildlife rehabilitation center, specializing in the care and rehabilitation of small mammals, with a special focus on pinky/newborn squirrels.
Located in the picturesque city of Colorado Springs, Rocky Mountain WildHeart is proud to call this vibrant community home. Our center is owned and operated by a passionate woman born and raised right here in Colorado Springs, with deep roots in the local community.
For over six years, Rocky Mountain WildHeart has been committed to providing compassionate care and rehabilitation services to Colorado’s native wildlife. Every day, our dedicated team of experts and volunteers works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and release animals back into their natural habitats, ensuring they have the best chance at a happy and healthy life.

Our dedicated team of experts and volunteers is experienced in caring for small mammals, including squirrels, chipmunks, rats, mice, goffers, prairie dogs, and more.
🐿 Squirrels: From tiny pinky/newborn squirrels to adults in need of medical treatment or rehabilitation, Rocky Mountain WildHeart specializes in caring for these charismatic and industrious creatures. Whether injured, orphaned, or displaced, squirrels find a safe haven and expert care at our center.
🐭 Small Mammals: In addition to squirrels, we provide rehabilitation services for a diverse range of small mammals, including chipmunks, rats, and mice. Our team is equipped to address a variety of medical and behavioral issues and provide the necessary care and support for these animals to thrive.

🏥 Rehabilitation: Once in our care, injured or orphaned wildlife receive personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to their specific needs. From nutritional support to physical therapy, we provide the necessary care and attention to help animals recover and thrive.
💉 Medical Treatment: Our experienced staff is trained to provide medical treatment and veterinary care for a variety of wildlife injuries and illnesses. We offer onsite medical services, including wound care and medication administration, to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
